The LTNS Parent Association provides opportunities for parents, families and caregivers to play an active role in their children's preschool experience. It works closely with the school's directors and teachers to organize many different events throughout the year for kids, parents and families, both in and out of the classroom: Parents' Night Out, the annual Cocktail Party, monthly Young Family Shabbat, the Purim Carnival, the Family Concert and more! Through these events and other activities, the Parent Association aspires to make your entire family feel like a part of the LTNS community and enjoy your years spent here.
Within the Parent Association there are many roles and volunteer opportunities that range across interests and time commitments:
Yearbook - Design and layout of the annual LTNS yearbook
Mitzvah - Coordinate school-wide Mitzvah projects, such as pie-making for the Mamaroneck Food Pantry over Thanksgiving, a December toy drive, a February pajama drive and spring sandwich-making for Midnight Run
Fundraising - Organize the annual Cocktail Party and Silent Auction in the fall, the PA's biggest fundraiser
Events - Plan out of school events, such as the Back to School Gathering in September and the Family Concert for families as well as Parents' Night Out for parents
Garden - Maintain the garden and coordinate activities with classes, such as Earth Day and a spring Salad Celebration
Communications - Design and layout the LTNS Newsletter twice during the school year as well as create flyers and invitations as needed for different school events
Treasurer - Maintain the LTNS PA funds, make payments and deposits as needed
